BACKYARD DAOISM

Cat Rigdon's first solo show in 2016 with Galleri Urbane, Dallas, TX. Rigdon presented small meditative beaded works, watercolors, and a living plant installation representing the life of her garden's compost pile.

Beading and embroidery completed while Rigdon recovered from a major brain injury.  These works discuss her newly altered  mental abilities and life changes.

Forced amuricana

Rigdon’s Forced Amuricana series explores the roles of consumerism and dating in America during the 2010’s. The series began in 2014, while Rigdon was attending Texas State University for undergrad, and continues to this day.
