SELF MYTHOLOGY.
Cat Rigdon's Self Mythology series, which explores how the sea urchin form weaves in and out of her history.
Having grown up on the island of Cyprus, Rigdon reminisces about her early memories of swimming through groves of prickly urchins and submerged ruins, and the thoughts of a home she mourns.
Rigdon had custom CNC-router cut acrylic panels made for this body of work, which was installed at the Cedars Union in May 2021, and at The Dallas Public Library - Oak Lawn in February 2022.
